Providing Autism Assessment and Diagnosis in Lincolnshire
Contact us to arrange a free 20 minute telephone consultation so we can discuss your needs and whether a formal autism assessment is appropriate. We will also discuss important screening tests during this call, which help us decide the next steps.
Dr Priestley will arrange a home visit appointment with you to complete a comprehensive assessment. This assessment includes the completion of two gold standard measures; the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) & the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). The assessment will also include a clinical interview, a developmental discussion and a review of important documents and / or information provided by your child's education setting (if relevant).
If you are an adult seeking an assessment for yourself, then the ADI-R can be completed with a close person/family member who supported you as a child (where possible).
Following your assessment, Dr Priestley will hold a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting where the findings of your assessment will be discussed with a Psychiatrist and a Speech & Language Therapist.
Dr Priestley will provide a comprehensive diagnostic report detailing the outcome of your assessment and whether a diagnosis is provided. The report includes recommendations and advice on the next best steps for you or your child. You will also be offered an additional appointment to discuss the outcome of the assessment and any questions you may have.
