Who We Are

Priestley Psychological Services provide Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) assessment and diagnosis in Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. Once you have discussed your needs with Dr Priestley during a free 20 minute consultation, he will arrange a virtual appointment with you to complete a comprehensive developmental assessment (using the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised ADI-R). Dr Priestley will then arrange to meet with you, or your child, to complete the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-II). As Priestley Psychological Services aims to improve access to ASC assessment and diagnosis in Lincolnshire, Dr Priestley will travel to complete this assessment in your home, or a place convenient for you within Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.

Following completion of these ASC assessments, Dr Priestley will provide a psychological report detailing the outcome, and diagnosis (where appropriate). This formal ASC assessment can be used to support Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) but more crucially provides clarity on why you or your child may have found certain aspects of life challenging for so long.

Dr Priestley is a Highly Specialist Child Clinical Psychologist practicing in the NHS and privately. He has over 14 years of experience working with people with a wide range of mental and developmental difficulties. Dr Priestley is trained in a variety of psychological treatment approaches (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy [CBT], Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing [EMDR], Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT], Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy [DDP] and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy [DBT]).
